You can talk to other players, but it’s not as simple as just going up and saying hello. The main interactions you have with other players are through ‘gestures’ or ‘expressions’ (so you can dance, wave, and even play the maracas with other players). However, thatgamecompany have done a brilliant job in making this a very social, but safe, game. We’ve lost count of the amount of people we’ve flown into (and have ended up calling these new friends ‘friend 1’, ‘friend 2’, ‘friend 3’ so on so on). But unlike Journey, the number of players on your server is huge. You guessed it, there are other real-life players in this game. So yeah, you’ll want to put on your exploring cap and grab your handy flashlight for this one. And although the game is relatively intuitive, you’ll find yourself saying ‘ooooooohhhhh’ as you come to realise what it is you actually need to do. We’re constantly discovering new things as we’re going along. There will be a crab or two that you can tip over, and a big weird centipede monster, but so far, no actual fighting. From what we can tell, you can’t really die, and there’s no way to fight anything. You’ll constantly be exploring new places and things, and the objective of the game (from what we can see) is to find spirits, relive their memories, and help them get back to the stars as constellations. This game is immensely similar to their previous title, Journey. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, after all. But for this post, we’ll stick to the most useful hints. Psst… There’s a whole bunch of stuff we could tell you. So you have nothing to lose by trying it out! But if you want to learn a bit more about the title, or you’ve played a bit of it and want some helpful advice before digging further, then here are five tips that should come in handy.

The game is free (apart from in-app purchases). And throughout the game, you’ll find yourself exploring caves, fields, and temples. It’s a remarkable discovery game, where you (along with other players across the globe) are a child of the light.
